Our Students
School Clothing has Arrived!
The school clothing order arrived on the 8th and it is wonderful to see students wearing their new items!
This was our first time ordering through Baltic Athletics and hopefully everyone was happy with their service - from the school end, they were wonderful to work with!
Return of the Milk Program
Remembrance Day
We are still adjusting to COVID-19 and all the changes the pandemic has brought to school. Unfortunately, we are not able to gather together for a Remembrance Day Service. This year, we are going to try a socially-distanced service - in our separate classrooms. This will be held at 11:15 on November 10.
Several classes are also participating in Veterans' Affairs Week, November 5-12, 2021. Riley, along with his grade 9 Reading is Thinking class, spent some time reading articles from the Canada Remembers Times, courtesy of Veterans' Affairs Canada.
Mom's Pantry
Our band students are selling Mom's Pantry - a Canadian Food Fundraiser. You can find their online order page at www.momspantry.ca
Thanks for your orders! This fundraiser is over.
National Science Reading Day!
The grade 9 Reading is Thinking class participated in the National Science Reading Day on Sept. 22. They selected a science-related book to read and will now complete an activity to share their newly acquired knowledge and understanding! Thanks to Mrs. Murray for getting our books organized!
Tree Planting Project
Our grade 7 and 8 students were very busy earlier this week. They planted around 100 trees along the track, south of the school.
Yearbooks are here!
Thanks to Mrs Woychyshyn for putting in the extra work to create the yearbook for our staff and students this year. Your homeroom teacher has your book so if you ordered one, you will receive it upon your return to school.
We offer a variety of extracurricular sports for students in M.Y. (grades 5-8) and H.S. (grades 9-12). Often, this includes:
X-country
Golf
Football
Volleyball
Basketball
Badminton
Track & Field
We usually offer an intramural program for grades 5-12 on a rotational schedule, depending on student interest and availability of staff.
Student Council is another extracurricular activity available to our students in grades 7-12.
We offer the Youth In Philanthropy program to our students as well.
Often, our Grade 4 students work with residents at our local senior home, Morley House.
Depending on the circumstances, we partner with the Brandon Sportsplex to offer swimming lessons to a large group of our E.Y. and M.Y. students.
We offer a band program to our grade 7-12 students.
Other events that we try to run each year include the Terry Fox Run, Pink Shirt Day, Jump Rope for Heart, One School - One Book, and much more!
